The Work

What this service covers

Cameron Electric installs Level 2 EV chargers for Tesla, Rivian, Ford Lightning, Chevy Bolt and every other plug-in vehicle on the road. We assess your panel capacity, run the 240V circuit, mount the charger and program it. Most installs run a single morning. If your panel is full or undersized, we will tell you up front whether you need a service upgrade or whether a load-management device gets the job done cheaper.

Common scope

  • Tesla Wall Connector installation
  • ChargePoint Home Flex install
  • Wallbox, FLO, JuiceBox and Grizzl-E install
  • Hardwired and 14-50 plug installs
  • Panel load calculation and capacity check
  • Load-management device installation when capacity is tight
  • Outdoor weatherproof mounting
  • Workplace and condo Level 2 multi-bay installs

Frequently asked

  • Do I need a 200-amp panel for an EV charger?
Not always. A standard 100-amp panel can support most Level 2 chargers if your existing loads are typical. We do a load calculation before quoting. When the panel is tight, a load-management device like the DCC-9 lets us add a charger without a service upgrade.
  • How long does a charger install take?
Most installs are a single half-day, four to six hours, including the ESA notification. Longer runs through finished basements or upper-floor garages add time.
