Our Story
A Kitchener electrician, founded in 2003.
Cameron Electric was founded by Greg Cameron in 2003 with a simple proposition: do the work to ESA code, charge a fair price, show up when you said you would, and treat the customer the way you would want a contractor to treat your own family.
Twenty-two years later, we are still in Kitchener and still doing it the same way. We have grown from one electrician with one truck to a small team of licensed electricians serving Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, and the surrounding townships, but the standards have not changed.
The McBrine Place shop is in the heart of the south-end industrial corridor. Most of our commercial clients are within a few minutes of the shop, and most of our residential clients are within thirty minutes of it. We work close to home so we can keep response times short and our reputation honest.
We are an Electrical Safety Authority Licensed Electrical Contractor (ECRA/ESA), fully insured, and WSIB-compliant. The license number appears on every quote and invoice, and on the footer of every page of this website.
How We Work
Four things we will not compromise on.
Permits, every time
Every job that needs an ESA notification gets one. We file the permit, we coordinate the inspection, you get the Certificate of Inspection.
Fixed-price written quotes
If we cannot tell you what it costs in writing, we are not the right contractor for the job. No hourly creep, no whiteboard math.
Same crew, same trucks
We do not subcontract. The crew that does your site visit is the crew that does the work. After twenty-two years, the trucks are recognizable.
We come back if it is wrong
If something does not work the way it should after we leave, we come back and fix it. That is the whole job, not a separate service call.
